I'd be interested in an existing Emailer like version running under OS X. But it will have to be better than both Powermail and Outlook. Even better if it would *improve* on those AND Emailer by:
having a full featured, preindexed search function, should be able to use boolean search terms like AND, OR and NOT (or similar) and maybe CLOSE TO. a very stable DB (though for me Emailers DB have been very stable) full exportability to and from standard DB formats autoadding addresses if answering a mail full applescriptability full connection between attachments and message, so that deletion of a message would also delete its attachments A more refined logical model for Mail Actions and possibility to add rules in between others Remove duplicates function An autolog like Powermail, that would keep growing even after opening it the first time. Similarly to the autolog, Windows interfacing many folders at once, perhaps based predefined constantly updating searches. I'm also not very impressed with any idea for a new Emailer app originating from Chip alone. I'm sorry for having to say this, but his recent comments to this list have not built confidence. My confidence could however be restored when his mystery developer friend presents him/herself as well as the project in a detailed form. Til then all I can say, is that if an email client that improved on Emailer, Outlook and Powermail as described above, I'd be willing to spend $70-100 for personal use, perhaps cheaper per user for site or package licenses.
