Yes, do try that. Since Emailer 1.x uses a totally different structure than 2.x, it is quite possible that the problem is still related to a DS_Store file, but that the file is in a different location. A fresh install should help verify this (in fact, that is how I finally tracked down the problem for 2.0, I did a fresh install, and found that it worked just fine... then from there systematically worked thru replacing the new files with my old until I hit on what broke it.
