Actually, it may not. Not all mail servers support an alternate 
character. Some you just have to use the @ sign (which means you can't 
use Emailer).

No, right now Baton Mail doesn't support inbound mail. It is on my wish 
list however (mostly to add IMAP support to Emailer, but once I write the 
POP engine, supporting other things like a more complex username is a 
peice of cake).
