www.macemai.com/emailer has a list of known updater problems and ways to get around them. Also, the v3 updater ONLY works on the full US-English version of Emailer. It will not work on any demo versions of Emailer, or on any non US language version. If you have either some other language version, or a version that expires, the updater simply won't work on it.
