I understand your feelings, but keep things in perspective. There could be no generous giving like this, had Bill not committed acts of harm and cruelty to countless small business startups trying to compete with him, driving them into the ground and the poor folks working there into poverty. That's kind of like praising a murderer for killing someone, if he then turns around and donates the dead victim's organs to a hosptial to save somebody else's life. Doesn't quite ring true for me. Bill would not be able to make such "generous" donations if he hadn't used deceptive, predatory, and downright illegal tactics to obtain those monies from other innocent people.
Went I went to college at T.C.U., there was a big debate on campus about the fact that the college was receiving money -- for philanthropical pursuits -- from the then-aparthied government of South Africa. Even though this money was being used for good, it had been donated by an organization which obtained it through immoral practices. Therefore, the money should not have been accepted.
