Ok, you start, there are no Emailer icons in the dock... you double click Emailer, and TWO icons appear instead of one?!? >(if I could >figure out how to take a screenprint I'd do it, but trust me, they're >both there). Normal behaviour for an icon placed in the dock because the application is running. As for the padlock, check your Emailer application. Select it, do Get Info, and see if it is marked as locked. If it is, OS X puts a padlock in the corner of it.
