I think the guy working on Chimera said he is probably going to throw in the towel. From what I read, it was pretty much down to one guy spending all his free time working on it, and now that Safari is out, he felt it wasn't worth spending the time anymore. Of course, Chimera is open source, so even if he does stop working on it, that doesn't stop other people from picking up where he left off. I kind of hope Chimera doesn't die, it is my browser of choice on OS X at the moment. I'm not overly happy with Safari right now, that might change as it matures more, but I've had some stability problems with it, I don't really like how it renders the pages (partly personal, partly bugs... it seems to like bolding all text if any part of it was bold, but I'm sure that is just a bug, beyond that, there is just something about the "look" I don't like as much). And the one thing that I HATE about Safari is the fact that it doesn't show you the URL for a link anywhere. I like to be able to preview the URL so I know where a link is going to take me (most other browsers put the URL on the bottom edge of the pane when you put the cursor over a link).
