hi Andy, 
when he connects, is he using a "Connect Now" command K, connect again, 
or a schedule? 

1) I would try a connect now, making sure that only one acct is selected. 

2) Try making a new mail and sending that to you. 

3) try making another new email & adding a simpletext attachment (some 
old read me from something, you'll find plenty in the applications 
folder...) Send to you.

4) try making another new email & adding a simpletext attachment & Send 
to you.

Ok, so what worked, what didn't work, and what was the errors or results 
for each?
