I guess what the audience is asking for is a file type addition command, where you can add new file types by simply dragging the file over the box, where you grab the type, and add it to the trashing list. It would be a great feature, and probably not that complex. If making the "grabber" is a lot of work, then just let the user enter it in manually. If they don't know what a type is, they shouldn't be playing with that feature! ;-)
