>Let me put in a plug for Chris's Baton Mail. I second the emotion. But I have a problem sending large files. Verizon DSL's mail server times out when I try to send a file of maybe 1 megabyte or more. I see the file move from CE to Baton, but then, even with Baton saying "Relaying", the file fails to make it out of my machine. Baton tells me the server has timed out and failed to respond.
I am running OS 8.6 and I have been using the older version of Baton. Why? The newer version, I found, altho designed to handle big files and run in the background, runs very slowly on my machine -- perhaps a function of OS 8.6's scheduling? So, I switched back to the older version. I have given it 10 megs of RAM. Yet, no luck with large files. Anyone else encounter this problem, or have a possible solution?
