Importing into Mail.app from Claris Emailer

I'm setting up a new iBook 900 for a co-worker (my boss, actually) and 
this will be his first foray into OS X.  Until now, he has been using 
Claris Emailer on his Pismo.  Mail.app will import mail from Claris 
Emailer, but here's the problem.

He has a folder called "Jobs" which contains about 70 folders, each 
with messages pertaining to a specific account.  Mail.app will import 
all the folders (including those inside and outside of the Jobs 
folder), but will not import the messages contained in the Jobs 
sub-folders.  It imports all other messages just fine (he's got about 
15 non-Jobs folders), but not those in the Jobs sub-folders.

What gives?  Any ideas?  I'm re-importing right now for the third time, 
hoping something will be different.....

I've been using Mail.app on my iBook for almost a year, and it imported 
from Emailer just fine (if I recall).
