I'm trying to set up an E Mac running OS 10.1.4 to run Claris Emailer 2.0v3 and connect to AOL using the internal modem dialup under Classic, after a long, successful run on a Power Center 150 with a GV Teleport Platinum. I have not been able to get a connection to AOL on the E Mac. I copied the Apple Internal 56K v.90 modem script from the Library to the AOL connection folder in Emailer, but the log messages read:
"Execution of Schedule "Connect Now" at Mon, Jul 7, 2003 10:36:33 PM Preparing messages Connecting to America Online using Account "America Online" Establishing connection ** The access company failed to respond. Please try again later. Disconnecting Execution of Schedule "Connect Now" at Mon, Jul 7, 2003 11:16:24 PM Preparing messages Connecting to America Online using Account "America Online" Establishing connection ** Unable to open communications port Disconnecting Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
