This problem had appeared and disappeared on a prior computer, and now reappears, years later, using OS9.2.2 with Emailer 2.3v3.
When addressing an outgoing message, and I fill in the "Recipient" portion with a name NOT in my address book, say "Dan" and I have a "Daniel" in the address book, I am stuck with Daniel's address once I tab into the text section of outgoing message window. Even if I go back and manually enter the correct email address, change Daniel back to Dan, it changes back to the address in the address book, and the name changes with it, once I click back into the body of the email. This has not always been so, and the last time I had this problem it seems to have disappeared with my doing nothing special to make it go away.
