Many moons ago, I reputedly disturbed the infinite cyberspace by saying: > >I'm running Emailer 2.0v3 under OS X, (10.2.6). It was working fine, (I >never "dial out", but use an 24/7 DSL connection. > >However, when attempting any of the following, I get the error mentioned >above. > > File Menu --> Open Special --> Downloads Folder > File Menu --> Open Special --> Emailer Files Folder > > >Here's the exact text of the Alert dialog: > >"Couldn't complete the last command because an unknown error (-600) >occurred."
In case anyone else encounters this problem in the future, I figured I'd update the list. Though I still haven't a clue what error "-600" means, I did solve the problem by experimenting w/the set of extensions/control panels that get loaded when Classic is launched. I really haven't a clue which disabled control panel/extension did the trick, the guideline I followed was to use Apple's Mac OS "9.2.2 All" set of extensions, add the absolute minimum 3rd party ones I needed, then disable several default Apple Control Panels and extensions that essentially are useless when running Classic, i.e. "File Synching", "Energy Saver", etc. Eric C.
