Hi Alicia, Michael, & Everyone,
I've only seen that error once. I've just today upgraded to SpamSieve v2
after a hiatus during which I did only Emailer Mail Action filtering. I
stopped using Spam Sieve after it got a little wild, and started trashing
way too many good emails. I guess I let a couple false positives slip by
uncorrected, and it trained itself from that, and them went wild trashing
my new messages, even from friends & clients. I finally looked in the
"spam" folder, and found the reason I was getting the occasional
semi-nasty phone call for not responding to someone's emails. Since I
probably should have been watching for false positives a bit closer, it's
probably partly my fault, even though I was lured into assuming I had
adequately trained SpamSieve well enough already.

Most of my spam (but not all, oh no, not all...) is a blank email with a
HTML attachment. So I have a Claris Emailer Mail Action that says: if the
sender is not in my address book, AND the message body does not contain a
space, trash it. That's a pretty good rule for me, but it does
accidentally trash a few things, such as notices of new replies to my
messages on Apple's discussion board.

Anyway...
I installed the new SpamSieve today, and after it auto-imported my old
corpus, I immediately "reset" the corpus, then imported the "seed spam"
that comes with the program. I also made sure to trash the old SpamSieve
AppleScripts, then install the new ones before Launching Claris Emailer.
I wasn't sure how to reset the history, so I just set it to report as of
today forward.

To start I wanted to closely monitor SpamSieve, so instead of making a
mail action for it to auto-filter, I started by selecting some emails &
pulling the applescript menu to "SpamSieve - Color if Spam". That
initially identified all selected messages as spam, so I ran the
Applescript "SpamSieve- Add Good". I repeated those 2 steps for about 340
messages (it learned as we kept going) before I saw that
"NSInternalScriptError" error. Since I already knew you were trying to
hunt it down, I snapped a full screen photo of it, in case there is a
clue anywhere. I can report that I was making a noncontiguous selection
of 8 messages, one of which is a blank message with HTML attachment. I
selected one, then skipped 4 messages, then selected 1, skipped 2, and
selected 6. That's just how it happened. I'm not sure if any mail was
coming in at the same time. I do have Emailer check for mail every 10
minutes.

After snapping the screen photo, Ok-ing the err, and with the messages
still selected, I ran the "SpamSieve-Color if Spam" script again, and it
didn't error this time.

Basic Environment:
Mac G4/466, Mac OS X.2.0
900 MB ram
Emailer 2.0v3
Newest SpamSieve, as of today. Installed over previous version, Corpus
reset & seeded.
Running SpamSieve manually only.

I'm excited about the new features in SpamSieve, and am willing to give
it another go. I wish applescript was faster though. It can take quite a
while to evaluate even a dozen emails. I may rename the SpamSieve scripts
to space them farther apart in the AppleScript menu; to make sure I don't
hastily select exactly the wrong one.

Best,
Dave Nathanson
