What I did was turn ALL extensions off, then start Classic. At that 
point, OS X reactivated the required extensions.

Once I did that, I ran Classic until I hit something I use in Classic 
that wouldn't run because of a missing extension. I then turned on only 
the extension needed by whatever that was, and continued from there.

Over the course of about a week, I had my Classic extension set back to a 
state that everything I use in classic was happy, and only the absolutely 
needed extensions were turned on. 

The simple rule of thumb, if you don't know for a fact that you need it, 
turn it off.
