Mary Lou: Also, in OS 9 at least , if you go to Control Panels>Internet> you will get a window where you can create one or more sets of defaults including which Email program and Browser you want to use. There are a number of tabbed "pages" in the window - I used this and I believe Explorer and Netscape preferences' protocol helpers were automatically set by it. Good luck experimenting!
