AppleScript is more stable and faster under OS X, even for scripts
running in Classic apps.

AppleScript Studio uses Interface Builder from OS X devtools to make real
cocoa interfaces (under OS 9 you need a 3rd party osax to give interfaces
to scripts).

Interface Scripting now allows scripts to access interface elements in
non-scriptable apps by emulating user action (under OS 9 you need 3rd
party macro utilities to command non-scriptable apps).
