Thanks Chris!! You're obviously the most helpful & prolifically helpful person in this group, and I politely & reverently redirect the applause back in Chris's direction.
I still check in when I can, but lately I've been too busy to eat! As an independent Mac Consultant, it's good to have plenty of work, but sometimes the long hours get on top of me. And I try to have a life outside of the computer world as well. (when possible). I still use Claris Emailer 2.0v3 daily on a Mac G4 running Jaguar Mac OS X 10.2 :-) Every few minutes Emailer checks 11 POP email accounts for me, plus my AOL email too. I also occasionally (every few months) make a personal mirror backup of Chris's FTP site, just in case... In fact, that was one reason I bought "Transmit for OSX". It's a friendly Mac FTP client that is especially good for that. I'd probably chime in more often (usually late at night) except that the kind folks around here are amazingly quick to jump in & help! That & I am "supposed" to sleep each & every night at some point!!! :-) I might have missed THIS email message, except that it was RED. I use 2 mail actions to file the Emailer-talk list. One checks if the email is from "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" AND also mentions either "Nathanson" or "MacMedix" or "Mac Medix" in the message body. Those get a priority of "red" and are filed in the Emailer-talk folder (stop actions if criteria is met). The second mail action looks for emails that are "from" [EMAIL PROTECTED]" & just files those in the Emailer talk folder (no red color). This gives me a very quick way to notice any emails that mention my name(s) which are either my emails, or replies to my emails. I always read the red ones. Best, Dave Nathanson Mac Medix On 12/9/03 1:01 PM, chris [EMAIL PROTECTED] tapped the keyboard to say: >>I don't know about the rest of you, but I think Chris should receive some >>recognition .... here publically.... for all he does on this list. > >As long as we are recognizing the helpful people, I think we should thank > >Vric and Dave @ MacMedix > >As well as everyone else that helps out on this list. (There are lots of >you, and I don't mean to exclude anyone, it just so happens that Vric and >Dave are the two other helpful people that come to my mind, although Dave >has been silent for a little while now... but I don't think any of us can >forget Vric since he seems to be our AppleScript savior!) > >-chris ><http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
