The PLW 320 supports PostScript 2, which at least means Windows can talk
to it (as compared to some of Apple's lower end laser printers that only
spoke QuickDraw which Windows doesn't do). However, it also only supports
AppleTalk, which not all versions of Windows supports natively.

You mention Win2k as the version you want to work with. Win2k server
supports AppleTalk, but I don't know off the top of my head if Win2k
workstation does or not. Check your list of installable protocols
(right-click My Network Places, choose Properties, right-click on your
network connection and choose Properties, click the Install button,
choose Protocol and click Add, is AppleTalk listed as a possible protocol
to add?)

If you can add AppleTalk to your copy of Windows, then you should be able
to at least "see" the printer. From there is is getting a driver that
will work with it. Windows includes some Apple printer drivers, but I
don't know if any are PostScript or if they are all trying to use the
alternate language that the printer they are for supports (some Apple
printers support things like Diablo 630, PCL, ESC-P, and other "PC"
languages). That may just be a trial and error session until you get one
that will work (I'd start with ones like the LaserWriter IINT, or the PLW
NTR). Even if none of them do, it shouldn't be too hard to track down a
generic postscript driver for windows (you may even be able to use an HP
driver, and I know that in the HP list, some are PostScript drivers...
look for ones that end in "PS" in the name, like the LaserJet 4M Plus PS
300. That is a 300 DPI postscript driver, since the PLW 320 is a max of
300 DPI, you might try that driver and see if it works).
