I'm guessing that back around the turn of the century, you installed the AOL y2k patch. The first version of that patch was incorrect and it patched too much, damaging the ability of Emailer to send attachments (it would crash when it tried to encode the attachment). There was a later version of the patch that patched only what was needed to fix the AOL y2k issue, and so wouldn't cause it to crash when encoding attachments. Then a little later, AOL fixed the problem on their end rending the patch pointless. So it is safe, and HIGHLY recommended that you revert to the unpatched version of Emailer. That should fix your problem. And for those of you that were on the list back then, a bit of trivia you might remember... tracking down the overpatching was my first "hack" contribution to Emailer. I didn't create the patch, but when it started causing crashing, I was the one that stepped thru the manual directions for patching to determine exactly what was needed to be done to fix the AOL problem, and not cause the crash. (others then verified my findings, and a new patch was created) Its been all down hill for me since :-) -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
