Okay, my next problem--I have recently moved up from
OS 8.6 to a new hard disk with OS 9.1 where Emailer seems
to be working fine. I thought I'd rebuld the database
so I first started with "Typical Rebuild" and got the
message: "...failed because no valid indexes were found
that could be used for rebuilding. Re-launch and try Advanced
Rebuild."
Huh? No valid index?? The one I've been using is certainly
there. So, I tried the Advanced Rebuild,
which seemed to work except then I ended up with lots of
orphaned folders and things missing. So I went back to the
old DB and Index which fortunately are still working.
I have the uncomfortable feeling that something is wrong.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Also, deleting problem--I have a few old messages in the Deleted
box. When I select these and try to "Delete message" from the
Edit menu, instead of the message going into the trash, I get an error
message that says: "couldn't complete the last command because a
read was attempted beyond the end of a file."
Is there anything I can/should do about this??
