For those who still send and receive on AOL, the Send problem has been
quietly solved or fixed by AOL. You no longer have to keep something in
your AOL mail box in order to Send. In short, everything is back to
normal.

It's not fixed where I am. I'm still getting the "reading 1 of 0"
timeout problem with the resultant error logs,
