This email is off topic, and serving two functions:

1: This is a test, had mail server problems over the weekend, wanted to
see if I got booted from the list

2: Has anyone noticed that the Pepsi iTunes promo has turned into all
winners? The Dunkin Donuts near me seems amiss. 6 of the last 6 I bought
have been winners. Either I'm REALLY lucky, or something is up.
Statistically, I should not have had 6 consecutive winners.

I'm curious if others are seeing this. If so, I'm thinking it may be that
Pepsi has increased the number of winners in an effort to get all 100
million out and purchased before the end of April (when the promo ends
and you have to redeem the caps by). I know around here, we saw the
bottles not long after the promo started, but then they stopped and
almost totally vanished until about 2 weeks ago. From what I understand,
similar reports are all over the US about the bottles vanishing, or not
having arrived at all until recently

When they were first out, I could read the inside of the cap by tilting
the bottle, now that they are back, I can't do it. Not having saved an
original bottle, I can't be sure what changed. But going under the
assumption that Pepsi realized that people could read the cap without
buying the bottle, they may have halted production while they redesigned
the bottle. Then time would be short to get all 100 million in
circulation before the deadline. So they may have increased the odds of
winning by reducing the number of non winners (failure to release all 100
million with a reasonable chance of them being bought before the deadline
could easily result in lawsuits for fraud).

So I'm curious if others have seen winners showing up in better than 1 to
2 ratio. If so, it might lead me to believe my hypothesis is correct.

Ok, I'm done with my OT post and subscription test. Thanks for letting me
waste the electrons (which isn't really accurate, electrons don't
actually get used up, they just change states and move around... scary
that the bits that makes up your body may very well have been in a
dinosaurs body at one point)
