>Also is there a way to change the vertical line on the left of a quoted >text to some other type symbol such as >> that Emailer used? I am not sure you really want to do that: this is an excerpt bar, the mark of a format-flowed message read by a mail application which knows how to interpret it. As is the case in Eudora messages, mail.app uses the "format-flowed" header. this is a great invention of some Eudora developer, and is not available in Emailer. You headers are: X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.618) Content-type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit A message having the format-flowed header will flow naturally to the size of the window of the computer that uses it (and recognizes it), but will show at the same time the vertical bar quote mark (called here the "excerpt bar") at the left of each line. On a palm pilot using Eudora mail, you can receive messages with quote marks (sent by mail.app or Eudora), and they will appear normally at the left of your small screen. Of couse, the same message sent from Emailer will show broken lines and the > will not improve readability. Now your message seen by you with excerpt bars is read by me with standard > quote marks on emailer. This is the magic of format-flowed. Too sad Microsoft refuses to use it, including on Entourage. -- Jean-Pierre <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
