Apropos of nothing in particular, but a friend with Windoze and AOL sent me a vCard today, which is apparently some sort of "information update" thing AOL must be doing -- sort of an expanded business card.
Anyway, it was sent to a webmail eddress I have, and I read it in their webmail using Explorer. I then forwarded it to myself at my ISP account where it was downloaded into Emailer. The "interesting" things are as follows: 1. The whole message as visible in the webmail forwarded and was similarly visible in the BODY of the Emailer window. 2. There was an html attachment to the email which, when opened in Explorer, exactly mimicked the html rendition of the body of the message in the webmail. 3. There was a second attachment xxxxxx.vcf which was a text-only file, opened in SimpleText, which contained just the info contained in the vCard itself. I thought to myself, how nice it was that Emailer so rendered everything so one could see exactly what stuff AOL was up to! ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
