I had written (in response to the discussion in Digest #139 about using command-click when opening or responding to bracketed URLs)
> When doing the command-click Is there a way to have > ClarisEmailer open rather than the default browser...... > which is, in my case, Explorer ? I do not use Outlook > Express. Thanks to John Verity for shedding light here. Sorry my question was phrased in such muddle-headed fashion. The answer I was seeking was precisely as he wrote: > Assume you are clicking, here, on a mail > address, yes? If so, the default mail program > that gets launched can be set in the "Internet" > control panel - in OS 9, anyway. > > Likewise, same control panel sets default Web > browser, too. You might ask, why this (my) obvious question? The answer to this would be: I never before looked at the Internet Control Panel. The default settings just "happened" for me. I did not know how to (re)set them. Thanks for the enlightenment, John, and Chris.
