I'm not sure I am understanding this problem. I am unable to use my Emailer because of financial problems and inability to buy a new computer so I'm using my granddaughters G4 and Mail and I do not see these problems you speak of. I'd like to know more so that if and when I get back to my own computer and my Emailer I can take advantage of these softwares you suggest. Exactly how do these problems appear in an email so I know what you mean.

Although I prefer my Emailer I am not having any bad experiences with Mail except I do not like the idea that when I want to Delete something, say like SPAM it will automatically open and any graphics will be displayed sometimes. With Emailer I never had this problem for I could simply point to the email and hit Delete or drag it to the Trash without having to open it.

doug

I use the application TextSoap from Unmarked Software.

It works great. It has both an application for cleaning up messy text from
incoming emails, and a contextual menu for working with text inside an email
message.
