Well Chris, As I already had 14000k assigned to Emailer, your idea sounded pretty far out. So I upped it modestly to 18000, since I am using my spaare iBook with little RAM. Upon restart it seemed a bit faster, but then when I quit and restarted it was back to its normal speedy self. next I will try lowering the memory back to where it was, and I bet it will still be cool.
