Don't use Baton Mail for POP Authentiation. Just let Emailer do it 
directly. Too many bugs in Baton Mail to be worth it.

To have Emailer do it directly, just check your email before sending. If 
you get sick of remembering to do it before, just download the hacked 
version of EMailer that reverses the SMTP/POP order so Emailer will 
always check before sending (on a normal check, it doesn't help on the 
Send Now button).

You can get that version from Dave's FTP site (I can't say mine, since I 
forgot to update the DNS over the weekend to point my URL to his server, 
and my server is still offline).

You get this when you use Baton Mail for SMTP Auth? What happens if you 
do POP Auth and then send the same email? Do you still get the error?
