Hi Chris-
Well, from my experience the chief cause of wrongdoing is lack of proper education. Notice I said proper education but I won't go into the details. Those of us who do not do spam or send viruses or in any way invade peoples privacy or use the internet for profit at all costs have something in our background, some sort of special conditioning that cause us to not do harm like this and that something can be taught to others too, but it needs to be done at an early age. I am doing rehab. work now, dealing with addictions and all manner of criminal behavior at a County Jail and I know many of these criminals could have avoided this kind of life had they had proper education. In the meantime we keep looking for techno fixes I guess.
regards doug
