Lew - Emailer services eleven different email accounts for our family, with centralized email access on one desktop iMac. Each family member also has a private user area on the same machine. Fast user switching makes it simple to keep people in their own sandboxes.
This arrangement has worked well since the arrival of OS X, minimizing issues with games & derelict-files, and makes my job as the home/office IT guy somehat easier.
