Here's an update on my problem using eM and Fast User Switching...using a 17 inch/1.25 GHz G4 iMac with OS 10.4.3 and Classic/OS 9.9.2
Apparently eMailer and/or Classic don't appreciate changing screen resolutions between users. In my case, all but one of the various users are set to the highest possible screen resolution of 1440x900 pixels (on a 17 inch iMac). The "user" eMailer/Classic was set to one of the lower screen resolutions in order to make text more legible. When returning to eMailer from another user, the eMailer windows would not fill - leaving just white boxes - and Classic would freeze, requiring a forced-quit. The problem probably lies with Classic (under Tiger) since similar problems occur with other programs running under Classic.
