Its never that simple. We just did a Intel app. It had lots of issues, and believe me, we "followed" the rules with Cocoa. Having said that, it is not tough to port non drivers to Intel. But drivers are a real headache. We managed to get our drivers finished in December, in time for SoftRAID's drivers to be included on the "chardoney" DVD's. (10.4.4). But it was really tough. A lot of companies which write drivers (or applications with drivers) will have some serious issues porting their drivers to intel. A concern I have, having just bought a dual core G5, is that PCI-X cards won't be available. I am counting on that, else I bought an obsolete junk, as I need to use it for testing for the next year, before it gets ported to "personal" use. ;-) I have been told not to worry, that all PCI-X card for Intel will automatically work for PPC, but why don't I believe that? ;-) Mark James SoftRAID, LLC mjames@ softraid.com "When I say to you to stop the bombing, step on the gas." - Yassar Arafat to deputy, recorded by Israeli Intelligence... ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
