<http://www.macshare.com/> Funny you should mention this one in particular -- I ended up there when I had to Google yesterday for an IRC chat client...to put on my...uh, you're really going to love THIS one....Powerbook 190! Not JUST a pre-OS X, but an actual real live 68K Mac. Uh, yeah, there's a reason. It's called "making sure an old spare will at least DO most of the things your regular one does." I hadn't used my 190 in so long, I went through it to "update" it to contain documents and apps I consider important NOW -- as in saving some Appleworks 6 stuff to Claris 4/transferring them over, and checking out the chat client business. I do have a 68K version of IRCle on it, but my IRCle registration number is locked up in my G3 where I can't get at it right now and it's screaming that my trial period is expired. Yes, I've been having problems lately: BOTH of my main Macs are down for the moment -- the G3 Beige due to a botched processor upgrade and the Powerbook 5300 due to what my tests strongly indicate are that fairly common "AC adapter input jack detached from the mobo" business. Yes, this coming weekend I'm supposed to get the Beige back (fully repaired, operational and running at 400 instead of 266 MHz) and the 5300 fixed, but....since that was supposed to have happened this PAST weekend, well, okay, I'll admit it. Maybe I'm getting paranoid. ;-) ~Yersinia. ________ "I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message..." ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
