If it were me, I'd just backup the OS 9 system folder, and then after OS X is installed, drag that system folder back to the OS X drive. I'd not bother reinstalling OS 9, its just too much of a PITA (I actually have a fresh OS 9.2.2 install that I burned to CD just for this purpose, I got sick of installing 9.1, and then having to install the 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 updates on top of it). >2) My laptop and my desktop are connected via ethernet (and Appletalk) to >a modem/router (thanks Martin for your advice on this subject!). Will I >need to take note of any info in any OS9 control panel and transfer it >somewhere else in OSX? Depends on what all you are trying to move over and how your system is setup. If you do your backup to an external firewire drive like you said, then worst case, you can always boot the machine off that drive to look up any settings. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
