For the past week or so, when I try to send a plain text email, no attachments, using Emailer on OS 8.6, using a particular smtp server (NOT my ISP's smtp server), I am getting the following error message in the Emailer log:
"Connecting to Internet using Account ³Username (abcd.com)² Sending mail using ³smtp.abcd.com² ** Couldn¹t complete the last command because a network stream error occurred." Previously for a long time I had been able to send messages this way and only since about March 2nd have I not. I can send email using my ISP's smtp server without problem, which is what I normally do; however, for some occasional purposes, I use the abcd.com smtp server to send one or two emails usually to a single addressee. My ISP said that they have made no changes to their settings recently, and that they would not be blocking my connecting to the other smtp server.
