An experimental port of the Sheepshaver PowerPC Mac OS run time
environment has been announced, see

http://www.gibix.net/projects/sheepshaver/

It is to MacOS X 10.4.4 for Intel and is now available via this site.
Also a port to OSX 10.2.8

The site states that SheepShaver runs MacOS 7.5.2 thru MacOS 9.0.4 and
supports PowerMac PCI ROM images. Those Old World ROMs are 4 MB in size
and support MacOS 7.5.2 up to MacOS 9.0.4. Old World ROMs can be
extracted from Power Macs with the ROM Grabber utility.

Basilisk II is also said to be being developed for OSX. Like Sheepshaver
it will run OS9 in a window rather than seamlessly as under the Classic.

And Chris mentioned one called Q, but I can only trace a Virtual PC
substitute and a Sinclair emulator!

Anyone had any success with any of these?

Julian
