She is formatting the text, probably writing it in some other 
application, and then copy and pasting it into AOL. Some of the 
formatting is being mistranslated for the plain text portion.

Ask her to turn off formatted text and send as plain text only. Chances 
are she will say she can't, doesn't know how, or won't.


I'm actually a little surprised that windows users aren't also seeing 
this problem.
