Wow, Ellen, finally one that this low-power-user can answer! Thanks for building my ego! Salon evidently got you switched to HTML email. You can 1) Get it touch with them and ask them to switch you back to plain text, if they're still sending it out that way, or 2) Here's my fix: Go to mail.com and sign up for a free email address. They are HTML-friendly. I have changed my address for all senders who send HTML email, so that they send it to my mail.com address. All my really important stuff still comes to my regular address and to Emailer. This is a better fix than 1) above, because HTML email comes in with all the pictures, etc. which were sent with it, usually a pretty layout - while plain text email is, well, plain text. If you want to get a look at what you're missing, copy all that HTML garbage into a SimpleText document and then open the document with a web browser. Then you'll see everything that you will get if you use an HTML-friendly address like mail.com. Or you can switch off Emailer, but don't tell anyone that I said that.
