Hi Julian:

Aside from Emailer Cleanup, am not sure if there is an Applescript that
will delete
selected attachments directly from Emailer's downloads folder. However,
here's a suggestion if you're able to do so:

Make an alias of the downloads folder and put that into the Apple Menu
Items Folder in the System Folder, so you can have instant access of that
from the Apple menu. Selecting that alias opens up the downloads folder
with contents. Selecting some, or all the attachments there, and using
keyboard command/delete puts those selected attachments directly into the
desktop trash can, without having to drag anything...which you can empty
at your convenience.

Re the Applescripts...If you.re looking to delete just attachments to
selected messages, there's a "trash attachments" Applescript, which puts
the attachment of a selected message(s) directly into the desktop trash
can which you can empty at your convenience. If you want to select
messages and delete them with their attachment(s), there's a "trash
messages and attachment(s) Applescript, which does same with attachments,
but puts the related message into Emailer's deleted mail folder, which
can be set up to empty upon quitting the program.

There's another "shred messages" Applescript (my favorite for spam mail
actions) does the same, except that selected message(s) get shredded
(never get put into Emailer's deleted mail folder) and the related
attachment(s) wind up in the desktop trash can.

Have found with these Applescripts, that the attachments to selected
email messages wind up in the desktop trash can, even if moved from the
downloads folder to the desktop, or elsewhere on my computer.

Hope this info is helpful for your needs.

Regards,
Martin
