If Classic was actually running on the source disk during the
migration (ie: the one being migrated FROM, or the old machine), then
it is possible some OS 9 files were not properly copied. OS 9 has no
problems pushing all its files while in use, but pulling some will
often fail.
But in this case, I don't think your failure is actually with Classic
and OS 9, I think something got screwed up with Emailer during the
migration.
What I would do is simply manually re-copy the Emailer folder to the
new machine and see if the problem goes away. If in doubt, you can
always shut down Classic on the old machine, and then re-copy the OS
9 system folder as well.
