As I'm "on digest" it can be weeks or days before I see a message - and
then I get a whole bunch. A bit like waiting for a bus!

I use Emailer on my G4 tower (and my G3 iBook when I'm away). Nothing
else can cope with the number of email accounts that I've built up since
1995.

The numbering system has gone awry so I've chosen 17a.

I must point out that, for those of us on "digest" (maybe only me?), it's
an absolute nightmare trying to sort out who is writing what. The
tendency of some members to "top post" (without even pruning the quoted
text) and of other members to include adverts and ruddy great thirty line
"signatures" makes it difficult to figure out what half the posts are
about. So I don't even try.

I guess this is what you get with an unmoderated list but it's very
annoying. I wish we could stick to the original Usenet standards for
posting. I'm just glad that most people are using plain English rather
than "txt-spk".

I'm fairly knowlegeable and happy to help but, bottom line is, unless you
post in a sensible way, I'm not going to respond.

Back on topic - I use OS10.4.8 and "Classic". Emailer is till
ultra-reliable. I get occasional duplicate messages - no big deal. I've
never seen the .DS_Store problem.

I am looking forward to an OSX Emailer so I can buy an Intel Mac!
Happy to pay for it.
