I'm thinking that RoadRunner must be doing more than simple SMTP
authentication. I'm having no problems receiving mail. I suspect
they are
doing IP checking, which I guess means I'm hosed. Unless someone
else has
a suggestion.
This error only happens when you try to send from off the RR network?
Everything works fine when on the RR network?
Any chance you can do a stream log and see what it is doing behind
the scenes? Although my first guess would be you are right and RR is
doing IP authentication as well and simply disallowing any off
network use of their mail server (this seems to be not uncommon with
cable carriers... they just don't seem to grasp that people actually
own and use laptops and might want to be able to use their email
hassle free from multiple locations)
