Reported several times before, I want to mention again the possible source of a sudden glitch in Emailer.
I began to notice quirky behavior in being able to open Emailer.... having to repeat attempts, restart computer, restart Classic. Finally, although Emailer would appear to open, the application was frozen and no usual effort made to correct general troubles (Repair Permissions, run Disk Utility) cured the problem. I was about to decide I had to do a re-install of Emailer, since I had determined that other applications requiring Classic were not affected; only Emailer. In the process of doing the preliminaries to a re-install, I first backed up my hard disk, then went to my Folder for Claris Emailer, opened the folder to select the Mail (which I was about to copy to the desktop)...... when I noticed the Temp Incoming folder. The Temp Incoming folder contained several copies of recent mail. I decided to Trash the Temp Incoming folder, with the several mails therein. Voila..... my Emailer troubles were gone with the restarting of my computer. While I know this has been suggested before as a means of curing Emailer glitches, I just wanted to bring it up again to the readership. Before you abandon a troublesome Emailer, try looking for the problem being within the Temp Incoming folder: Trash it, then restart. And if there are still files remaining in the folder, continue to Trash the folder until all remaining files are gone.
