Some suggestions:

- Is there a way to specify on the PC to generate a PDF version 3 ?

- Does the camera tool produce a file with a PDF extension ? Was the
name truncated or the extension damaged ?

- If on the Windows side you SAVE the document to a lower WORD version
such as WORD 97, does that help ?

- Of you PRINT PREVIEW the WOrd doc on the Mac, using a PostScript
printer driver, does the empty box then generate a picture that maybe
WORD Mac cant show, but the PostScript software CAN show or print ?

I am having trouble viewing an image pasted into an MS Word document.

My client, using Windows, opens a PDF in Windows Acrobat, and uses the
Acrobat camera tool to take a picture of a portion of the document. He then pastes the picture into Windows Word. We can see the picture in Windows
Word.

When I open the document in either of Word 98 Mac (OS 9.1) or Word 2004 Mac (OS 10.4.8), the image is blank. If I click on the image, the empty box is there. If I copy the empty box and paste it into a new document, I get the
image box with a big red X in it.

If I open the same original Word document in Windows Word (Word 2000 in Win
XP in Parallels on Mac OS 10.4.8), I can see the image.

I used the same process on the Mac. Opened a PDF in Acrobat Reader 8.
Copied the image with Acrobat Reader camera tool, and pasted into Word 2004.
I can see the image fine.

Word's image converter tools are properly installed in MS Word's proper
folder locations.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks/Roger+
