Admittedly, I do not use Mail Actions much, and those that I do are
relatively straight forward and have always worked basically as I
expected., but I don't know a lot about using them.

However, I was having a little problem with some SPAM from Russia or
Romania or whatever country is ".ru". I set up what I thought was a
simple Mail Action to catch emails which "ended with .ru" in the "From"
field.. If the criterion was met, the email was supposed to be filed in
a "Spam" folder. I had set up similar simple mail actions to put things
into folders which work as expected.

Instead of catching emsils with the "From" field ending in ".ru", it
appears to be catching most mail to one of my non-ISP free POP accounts
which occasionally I use and putting it into the SPAM folder. I checked
the headers on some of these emails going in there, including one I sent
to myself from my ISP POP account, and there is no ".ru" in the "From"
field.

So, why is this happening? What did I do wrong in setting it up? What do
I do to fix it?

Thanks.
