The Classic folder is in the Applications folder but there but there
is nothing in it.

That happens.

Then these are all now all in the correct place.

Ah. I had a feeling you were going to say that!
In Finder (column view) when I click on the HD I come up with an
Applications folder, Applications (Mac OS 9) and a Classic
Folder.
When I click on 'Applications' in the Sidebar I find all of the
System X
applications are in there. Presumably these should be in
the Classic
Folder? If that is so can I create another Classic folder
in the same
window - place all the X applications in there; move to
the desktop and
eventually to the correct location with the other OS 9
Applications folder?

I moved the folders out of there to the current CE Folder.
>What is in that folder anyway?
All of the old replaced CE folders (which eventually should be
thrown away). I
have had 3 crashes of the CE database since I've had OS X.

I already did that and noticed they were dated Jan. 18th - the last
crash. I
still don't have my archived folders back on this laptop, otherwise
Claris is working
perfectly!

A few more steps...with your help?
