For the longest while, I have twisted around trying to
understand "Networking", the establishment of a network,
setting up new connections to an existing network.

For the life of me, even with Apple's help, even with the
written help of others, I am still unclear at what it takes
to construct a wireless network, with a wired ethernet
connection to a router, which presumably is capable of
accepting (connecting) wirelessly with other devices on
the network.

Is there such a thing as Networking for Dummies.

Problem being: I have an ethernet (wired) connection
to a router. Another computer has a wireless connection
to the same router.

I want to add another wireless connection from the router
to an Airport Express, to carry (as the ads say) the signal
from an iTunes connection to a streaming audio (radio) source,
to my remote stereo system.

I've done what I thought was necessary to establish the
connection between the (client) Airport Express connected
remotely to my stereo system.... and the router which is
wired via an ethernet port to my desktop computer.
Cannot seem to make the connection.

Thus, the query: is there such a thing as Networking for
Dummies? The fact is, the effort made by Apple to simplify
the process with an "assistant" has only made my understanding
of the *process* more difficult.

Anyone? have an answer to this way off-topic question?
