I think you may still be able to get some new - but certainly you can get used. I am still using my G3 laptop with OSX10.4.10 (and Classic) and despite its small HD and slower processor, it is a very serviceable machine for most computer endeavours. I have a pre-Intel iMac G5 for everything else and it is a great machine!
And there are so many people out there making it possible to keep the older machines going, that I wouldn't worry about servicing. Mind you, I guess you 'd be stuck in the OS9/10.4 world - if that is okay with you.
